Submit An Article to Stay Fantastic!
We welcome contributions to our site, and are happy to consider articles on any aspect of life from middle age onwards that will inform, and entertain our readers.
A few guidelines that should be taken into account before submitting a story :
Try to remember the Stay Fantistic mission, which is “making the most of the freedom, fun and opportunities of our middle years” before brainstorming on post topics. Try to send out a positive message that is light in tone and inspires people, motivates them, and puts them in a good mood at the end of their read.
In other words your posts should inform, entertain and inspire, maybe even present possible solutions to various problems through personal examples, and should not concentrate on the negative aspects of ageing or end up on a negative note. The idea is to inspire our readers to enjoy this wonderful stage in their lives, have a positive approach to ageing, be optimistic about their future and ultimately happier.
Your submissions will be reviewed in order to make sure that you have followed the above mentioned guidelines, and also to see that there are no grammar errors, typos etc.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in your article and the third party materials it may contain. Simply put, you need to make sure you have all the necessary permissions obtained from the copyright holder in case the article contains copyrighted material, and this applies to photos, audio, video, or other content that is part of your submission.
The articles might sometimes be edited out in order to offer a more engaging experience to our readers, and when that happens we’ll make sure to inform you about it so you can review the piece in its final form.
Self-promotion & advertising
The preferred length of a post is be between 400 to 750 words, and if you need to include links, please make them relevant to the article itself and not blatant advertisements for your own product/services.
At the end of the article, we are happy to include a short bio of the author if you submit one, (up to 5o words, with a pic if provided, and a link to your own blog/online writing if applicable. However, please do not simply post a link in the article to point our readers to your site. We reserve the right not to re-publish articles/posts that have already been published on other sites.
Articles promoting various products or businesses will be rejected. We reserve the right to edit your submission as outlined above and only publish the type of posts that we find suitable for our readers.
Spread the word
The power of Social Media is immense, and good writing deserves to be share. That is why, once published, we advise the contributor to promote their post by sharing it via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, LinkedIn, StumbleUpon, etc.
It would also be a good idea to respond to those commenting on your posts.
